Why shorter holidays are good for kids
Article Abstract:
It is now time to consider introducing a four- or five-term academic year for UK schools, according to Margaret Hodge, chair of the commons education select committee. Having a shorter break in the summer would mean that working parents have fewer childcare problems, while breaking up terms into smaller units would mean that teachers become less tired and unwell. Dividing up holiday times more evenly would ensure that the educational momentum is maintained more effectively, with children not having a long break during which they forget a lot of what they have already learnt.

Article Abstract:
Faith-based schools are becoming increasingly popular in the UK. However, it can be argued that these schools have a negative influence, as they make children less aware of the beliefs of others.
