People should have the freedom to choose what type of drama they want to see, according to film director and columnist Michael Winner. There is violence in real life, and drama has always taken its stories from real life. He does not feel that the violence in his films is gratuitous, regarding it as true to the story he is telling. However, he is concerned about the violence in society and about the short sentences given to violent criminals and sex offenders.

Poor little rich boy
Article Abstract:
Filmmaker Michael Winner acknowledges that his home in Kensington, London, England, represents an attempt to buy back his childhood, as his father leased the house after the second world war and converted it into flats. He feels that the most important thing in life is to have people around you who give you pleasure. He does not feel that he should be criticized for inviting women many years younger than him into his home to keep him company.
