You don't have to be female to get breast cancer
Article Abstract:
Breast cancer affects one in 1,000 men in the UK, a much smaller proportion than in women. However, it is important that men are aware of the risk of breast cancer and that they seek medical advice immediately if they discover a breast lump. Men tend to develop breast cancer seven years later than women on average, but survival rates are almost identical for both sexes, as long as symptoms are reported at the same stage. The overall survival rate for men is worse than for women, as men tend to delay seeking medical advice.
