Strain space formulation of the Armstrong-Frederick family of plasticity models
Article Abstract:
The Armstrong-Frederick family of plasticity models was evaluated to determine the effectiveness of its strain space formulation in strain controlled cyclic plasticity. Results from previous studies were compared with the proposed formulation using several representative strain controlled loading paths. It was observed that the formulation holds promise in applications such as multiaxial notch analysis and finite element analysis.

Constitutive description of temperature-dependent nonproportional cyclic viscoplasticity
Article Abstract:
A constitutive model of the temperature history dependent behavior of metallic materials under uniaxial and nonproportional cyclic loadings is investigated. A class of kinematic hardening rules characterized by a decomposition of the total kinematic hardening variable is studied. A new nonproportionality is presented. The suggested model is utilized to describe complex cyclic deformation behavior of 1Crl8Ni9Ti stainless steel.
