A piece of the dinosaur killer found?
Article Abstract:
Geochemist Frank Kyte discovered a chip of rock that he believes may be a piece of an asteroid that collided with the Earth 65 million years ago, ending the dinosaur age by causing their extinction. The 3-millimeter chip was found in sediments at the bottom of the North Pacific.

A shocking view of the Permo-Triassic
Article Abstract:
Analysis of microscopic quartz grains has provided the first physical evidence that the impact of a comet or asteroid caused the mass extinction at the Permo-Triassic boundary. The grains have faint facture bands that may have been caused by the shock of a massive impact.

Second crater points to killer comets
Article Abstract:
Argon-argon dating reveals that the Chicxulub crater in Yucatan and the Manson crater in Iowa were formed at the same time. The discovery supports the theory that multiple comet impacts caused the extinction of the dinosaur.
