Escape from the nucleus: Ionization via quantum tunneling observed

The article discusses a new mechanism, which can replace the process of ionization that was discovered by Ferenc Krausz and his team at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching, Germany. According to Krausz, he has shown through his experiment how ionization takes place through quantum tunneling.

Dangling a COROT

A report is presented on the first space observatory dedicated to hunting the exoplanet called COROT. The space observatory studies ripples on the star surface and looks at changes in stellar luminosity that may indicate exoplanetary transit.
