An independent perspective on the Human Genome Project
Article Abstract:
Slowly developing DNA sequencing technology, and lack of standardized data reporting, software tools, and nomenclature plague the huge and ambitious US Human Genome Project (HGP). A summary of a major federal evaluation of HGP, the JASON Report, conducted by MITRE Corp., is provided.
