Anchorage behavior of shaft anchors in alluvial soils
Article Abstract:
H. J. Liao, C. D. Ou, and S. C. Shu conducted a research on the anchorage capability of normal and single-bore multiple anchors in alluvial soils in Taipei. The study presented a chance to examine the different construction and testing techniques and to compare the data obtained with the results from other studies done on multiple anchors. There are several factors to consider in analyzing anchor capacities. These include the installation method, the load transfer mechanisms, and the loading techniques.

Influence of in situ factors on dynamic response of Piedmont residual soils
Article Abstract:
An analysis is presented on the role of weathering conditions on the computation of soil mechanics dynamic testing, focusing on overconsolidation of data on in-place rock weathering versus transported soil behavior.
