Article Abstract:
Hiroshi Ishiguro's Repliee Qlexpo is more than a humanoid robot, which is so lifelike that it seems like a real person and is expected to eventually pitch in as the workforce shrinks amid the dwindling and aging population of Japan. She believes that appearance is very important to having better interpersonal relationships with a robot and that robots are information media, especially humanoid robots, and their main role in the future is to interact naturally with people.
