A description is presented of the intelligence which has been shown by the common raven. The behaviour of common ravens in finding and coping with food in the winter, and their relationship with wolves, is discussed.

An account on the construction of nest by various birds such as hummingbirds, hawks, and others in the forest is discussed. It is found that nests tend to reflect the general nature of the bird's habitat.

Certain species of bird, such as waterfowl and cowbirds, have the habit of laying their eggs in other birds' nests in a phenomenon called "brood parasitism." Several reasons have been presented, including the lack of suitable nesting sites.
