California Academy of Science is 'growing'
Article Abstract:
The construction of single structure of 12 damaged buildings of California Academy of Sciences, located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, during the Loma Prieta earthquake, is discussed. Renzo Piano Building Workshop, of Genoa, Italy and Chong Partners Architechture, of San Francisco are collaborating to create the structure.

California Water District receives patent for water treatment technology
Article Abstract:
A patent for a technology for treating water containing bromide, which will be received by Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) of San Francisco, is discussed. The patent will keep the technology in public domain such that the water treatment plants (WTPs) can use it without paying royalties.

California wetlands receive environmental face-lift
Article Abstract:
Bolsa Chica, an expanse of wetlands within California's Huntington Beach area would receive a face-lift from being a marshy oil field to a thriving ecosystem. The project would include the construction of tidal basins, ocean inlet, islands foe nesting birds, bridges and much more.
