Chilean coastal Archaeology
Article Abstract:
The project aims to explore how the Chinchorro exploited marine resources; how quickly the Alto Ramirez cultural traits began to replace Chinchorro traditions; and in turn, how the Alto Ramirez culture adapted to desert conditions. Dr. Mario Rivera and his project team are surveying and unearthing evidence of the two cultures that flourished in one of the driest places on Chilean coastal Archaeology three millennia ago.

Argentina's Pampas carnivores
Article Abstract:
The project aims to measure and mitigate human impacts on Argentina's prairies using the status of carnivores. Dr. Mauro Lucherini and his project team are studying the habits of pampas foxes, margay-like Geoffroy's cats, hog-nosed shrunks, and ferret-like grisons to measure the animals' adaptability to disturbance and monitor the ecosystem's health.
