Article Abstract:
The reproduction of two lambs at Roslin Institute, Scotland in 1995 through the use of cloning technology witnessed the rise of biomedical research. Cloning, based on the nuclear transfer of two cells derived from surrogate sources, may point to a number of practical benefits in animal husbandry and medical science.

Spies in the xerox machine: how an engineer helped the CIA snoop on Soviet diplomats
Article Abstract:
Ray Zoppoth was the mechanical engineer who designed a device that was utilized by the Central Intelligence Agency to monitor photocopied documents from the Soviet embassy. The device is a miniature surveillance camera that is inserted in Xerox photocopier machines.
