Comparison of batch and column methods for determining strontium distribution coefficients for unsaturated transport in basalt
Article Abstract:
Research focusing on the comparison of batch and column methods for identifying strontium distribution coefficients for unsaturated transport in basalt. The results point towards Kds determined with this method not accurately reflecting Sr transport in unsaturated or saturated basalt.

Chemical equilibria model of strontium-90 adsorption and transport in soil in response to dynamic alkaline conditions
Article Abstract:
The Hydrologic Utility Model for Demonstrating Integrated Nuclear Geochemical Environmental Responses (HUMDINGER) is formulated to describe the reaction of strontium-90 to changing pH levels and groundleaching. The soil cation-exchange capacity is mathematically explained and cation levels are graphed at different soil levels.
