Crack growth rate behavior of a titanium-aluminide alloy during isothermal and nonisothermal conditions
Article Abstract:
Experimental studies help determine the isothermal fatigue of a titanium-aluminide alloy under superimposed load hold times, isothermal fatigue and thermomechanical fatigue (TMF) crack growth rate behavior. Elevated-temperature crack growth processes of the alloy include oxidation and creep, fatigue and temperature, hold-times and frequency effects. Both time- and cycle-dependent processes contribute to the development of the crack growth in the alloy.

Mechanical characterization of a CVD diamond coating by nanoindentation test
Article Abstract:
The simulations of the nonindentation test with a Berkovich indenter on a CVD diamond coating was reported. Comparing the numerical results with the experimental results it was possible to calibrate the model and to describe the material behavior.
