Crystalline molecular machines: A quest toward solid-state dynamics and function
Article Abstract:
A general strategy to design crystals capable of supporting structurally programmed molecular notions, practical approach to synthesis, strategies to characterize the solid-state dynamics, and potential applications based on polar structures responding collectively to external fields were described with molecular gyroscopes as a test. It was suggested that molecular compasses were very attractive materials for a wide range of material applications based on dielectric and optical phenomena.

Superelectrophilic solvation
Article Abstract:
Superelectrophilic solvation of organic and inorganic systems is discussed in solution chemistry, similar activation can also occur with solid acids or even in some enyzmatic systems. It is stated that the reactivity of the parent electrophiles can be increased by proto- or, superelectrocphilic solvation this is suggested to differentiate it from conventional electrophilic solvation.
