Cytokinins: Activity, biosynthesis, and translocation
Article Abstract:
Basic molecular mechanisms of cytokinins (CKs) biosynthesis and signal transduction was possible by identifying a series of key genes encoding enzymes and proteins controlling critical steps in biosynthesis, translocation, and signaling. This helped in devising basic schemes for CK homeostasis and root/shoot communication at the whole-plant level.

Sugar sensing and signaling in plants: Conserved and novel mechanisms
Article Abstract:
The experimental amenability of yeast as a unicellular model system has enabled the discovery of multiple sugar sensors and signaling pathways. Genetic analyses have revealed extensive interactions between sugar and plant hormone signaling, and a central role for hexokinase as a conserved glucose sensor.
