Dendritic computation
Article Abstract:
The implementation of elementary computations by neuronal dendrites with the help of a range of linear and nonlinear mechanisms is discussed. Passive properties of the dendritic tree are useful for regulating the conditions for active dendritic signaling, for parallel processing, for acting as delay lines and for local computations.

Neural network dynamics
Article Abstract:
The network models of internally generated activity are examined for understanding the production of cognitive function by neural circuits. Sustained responses to transient stimuli, oscillatory network activity and chaotic activity are the three models of network dynamics.

Autism: A window onto the development of the social and the analytic brain
Article Abstract:
The main cognitive theories of autism are discussed. Empathizing-systemizing theory, executive dysfunction theory, weak central coherence (CC) theory, social brain theory and development disorder theory are the different cognitive theories of autism.
