Does nature drive nurture?
Article Abstract:
Jennifer Brown discovered that mice without the gene fosB did not not nurture their young. Researchers have not yet determined if lack of the fosB gene directly controls the absense of nurturing or if the abnormal behavior is caused by a physiologic or anatomical defect caused by the deletion of fosB.

Can cloning help save beleaguered species?
Article Abstract:
Zoologists are cautiously optimistic that cloning could be used to preserve rare animals in zoos. Conservation biologists also maintain that cloning could help to save species that do not breed well in captivity and to improve genetic diversity.
