Engaging the private sector
Article Abstract:
The globalization of western human rights standards and the proliferation of international nongovernment organizations (NGOs) have forced multinational corporations to be more responsible for the human rights conditions existing in their factories worldwide. Moreover, a growing number of activists, businessmen and policymakers are starting to realize that business interests are not always in conflict with human rights.
