Four phase model: A new formulation to predict the effective elastic moduli of composites
Article Abstract:
A linear elastic composite medium, which consists of a homogenous matrix containing coated spherical inclusions, is considered and this composite is modeled by a four phase pattern consisting of inclusion, interface, matrix layer, and equivalent homogenous medium. The effects of the thickness and stiffness of interface on the global behavior of real composite materials are examined.

On the micromechanics-based simulation of metal matrix composite response
Article Abstract:
A report on the response of metal matrix composites affected by factors such as inclusion distribution and shape, inclusion/matrix interfacial bond, residual stresses that are studied using finite-volume micro-mechanics model is presented.
