Give Jasper expansion the cold shoulder

The proposed expansion of Jasper Park Lodge goes against Parks Canada's stated mission and most Canadians' wishes to preserve the natural resources of the national parks. However, Parks Canada has and ignored the environmental impact of recreational tourism and favored business interests.

The Point Pelee National Park in Ontario is being rehabilitated under the Ecosystem Restoration Program, with the help of volunteers, business groups and organizations. The program has succeeded in removing exotic plants, restoring disturbed areas and protecting vital species.
