Article Abstract:
The US has fast, effective reporting and recall systems for halting side effects from childhood vaccinations, but the anti-vaccination movement among parents is growing nonetheless. The alarm is exaggerated, and pediatricians need to reassure parents about vaccine safety and necessity.

Knowledge of the immunity systems of invertebrates should be of much value to human immunologists because of their similar processes despite their divergent complexity. Russian scientist Elie Metchnikoff first discovered the nature of invertebrate immune systems in the 19th century.

Sharks and the origins of vertebrate immunity
Article Abstract:
A study of sharks, which had been existing since 450 million years ago, should be quite useful to human immunologists because of these sea vertebrates' very capable immune systems. Furthermore, they may provide invaluable clues to T and B cellular immunity.
