HHS: Gallo guilty of misconduct
Article Abstract:
HHS found Robert Gallo guilty of misconduct for writing a deceptive report in 1984 on his lab's work on the LAV AIDS virus. Gallo immediately disputed the HHS findings. Both his critics and his supporters are dissatisfied with the HHS Office of Research Integrity report.

Stubborn HIV reservoirs vulnerable to new treatments

Recent research has provided hope that HIV can be eliminated from the body. AIDs researchers have demonstrated that combination drug therapy can drastically reduce the amount of HIV RNA from the lymph nodes. Additional breakthrough AIDs research is examined.

Eradicating HIV from a patient: not just a dream?

Recent research results indicate that it may be possible to completely eradicate the HIV virus from infected patients. Research that has contributed to an understanding of controlling HIV replication and preventing immune system collapse is reviewed.
