Innovative immunity: a biological trick offers a promise for making vaccines from RNA
Article Abstract:
Christian W. Mandl and colleagues have developed a method for constructing a vaccine which protected mice from tick-borne encephalitis. Mandl used RNA corresponding to an almost complete genome of the virus causing the disease. The RNA was fired into the skin of the mice by a gene gun.
