Bartenbach Light Laboratory in the Austrian Tyrol plans to begin construction of the heliostats to give Australian town Rattenberg residents an impression that they have sun. An Alpine village that gets no winter sun, states what residents would see when reflectors called heliostats bounce light into town.

The Internet is gaining rapid popularity in Japan, but the cost of telephone calls to gain access is high. Many users wait until the telephone rates fall to their lowest price after midnight to access the Internet and World Wide Web. In 1995, 45 services provided access to the Internet.
