Management of intellectual property rights in Australian Cooperative Research Centers
Article Abstract:
Intellectual property rights protection and commercialization of research work are the two main issues facing Australian cooperative research centers. To obtain a picture of how Australian CRCs manage intellectual property issues, the organizational procedures and commercialization processes of different CRCs are analyzed. From the results, three types of organizational structure emerge. The first is based on commercial development, the second on the research process and the third on a combination of both.
