Mind readings: researchers can now predict what a monkey will draw - before it even moves
Article Abstract:
By sampling brain cells as they fired before and after arms movements, neuroscientist Andrew B. Schwartz and his colleagues have learned to predict how a monkey will move its arm 10 seconds before the act occurs. The research may lead to the development of thought-controlled prosthetic limbs.

Research into the placebo effect among patients receiving a sham treatment is discussed. Researchers at Copenhagen University suggest that placebos are worthless but others at British Columbia University demonstrate a placebo effect in patients with Parkinson's disease.
