Multivariate analysis of U.K. salt marsh sediment contaminant data with reference to the significance of PCB contamination
Article Abstract:
Sediment cores from sites near the Essex, United Kingdom coastal salt marsh are examined for PCBs to estimate a likely source of pollution. The data is evaluated and graphed using two mathematical techniques: discriminant analysis and principal component analysis.

Photoproduction of hydrated electron from constituents of natural waters
Article Abstract:
Fulvic and humic acids from the Suwannee River; and water samples from Lost Man's, Shark, and Caloosahatchee Rivers; the Middle Atlantic Bight; and from the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays are measured for the photoproduction of the hydrated electron. Potassium ferrocyanide and N,N-dimethylaniline levels are measured for each sample and graphed, and the yields for hydrated electrons are charted.
