New test sizes up randomness
Article Abstract:

Do comets get a nudge from the galaxy?
Article Abstract:
Astronomical research suggests that the radial tide is the major galactic tidal force pulling comets from the Oort cloud into the solar system. The radial tide is produced by the gravity of matter in the center of the galaxy and can affect comets in the galaxy's plane.

Primordal gas: fog not clouds
Article Abstract:
Arthur Davidson and HongGuang Bi's proposition that a fog of hydrogen and helium in the space between galaxies may explain the dark lines observed in the spectra of quasars may also account for the hydrogen and other matter that would have been left after the Big Bang.
