Stem Cell Sciences (SCS) is the most global of any stem cell company having corporate research and development centers in the UK, Japan, and Australia. SCS, set up by Peter Mountford, chief executive of SCS in his native Australia as a 'Virtual company' in the year 1994 is further planning to set up a US operation in the year 2005.

Tough cell to investors
Article Abstract:
Venture capitalists totally understand the rich potential of stem cells, although many reasons make them hesitate to invest. Even though stem cells have the potential to provide therapies for a huge range of ills, it is proving hard to attract the investment needed to develop them.
