One presentation at the Animal Behavior Society meeting described the way that male frogs use their eardrums to amplify their mating calls. Other reports covered the mating dances of bowerbirds and sperm competition in Indian meal moths.

Flying by the seat of their halteres

Article Abstract:

Researchers have discovered that halteres, which are vestigial remains of wings, are key to the remarkable airborne maneuverability of flies. Halteres help to stabilize the flight of a fly and also direct airborne turns and twists.
