PARACEST agents: modulating MRI contrast via water proton exchange
Article Abstract:
The factors that govern water molecule and water proton exchanges in the complexes are reviewed. The potential sensitivity of PARACEST agents and Gd3+-based T1 relaxation agents for altering tissue contrast is compared.
