Paleolithic pit stop: a French site suggests Neandertals and early modern humans behaved similarly
Article Abstract:
Excavation of a cave near Dordogne, France, reveals much about the lives of prehistoric man and early modern humans, as both groups lived in the cave at different times. The similarities between the two groups provide much information about the development of human behavior, and the similarities are described.

Is Out of Africa going out the door?
Article Abstract:
The discovery of a fossil in Portugal's Lapedo casts doubt on the validity of the Out of Africa theory of human origin. The fossil preserves the skeleton of a four-year-old child who died some 24,000 years ago. The child had a modern-looking chin with Neanderthal limb proportions and may be the result of interbreeding between Neanderthals and modern humans.
