Photolysis of 2-chloro-phenol dissolved in surfactant solutions
Article Abstract:
The photochemical degradation and dechlorination of 2-chlorophenol (2CP) are enhanced when dissolved in surfactant solutions such as the nonionic surfactant Brij 35 and anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate. In addition, surfactants help in 2CP degradation by acting as hydorgen atom sources. Surfactant concentrations greater than the critical micelle concentration further enhance 2CP degradation due to the partitioning of 2CP into the micelles.

Study of the adsorption of CdCl2 vapor on various minerals using a drop tube furnace
Article Abstract:
A drop tube furnace was developed to study the reactions between suspended particles and heavy metal vapors. This study examined the adsorption of cadmium chloride on various mineral sorbents using conditions representative of incinerators.
