Picking up the pieces: astronomers mull over the lessons of the great comet crash
Article Abstract:
Astronomers and astrophysicists met in a late Oct 1994 meeting at the Div of Planetary Sciences in Bethesda, MD, to share findings about Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9's impact on Jupiter in Jul 1994. Attendees were persuaded by G.L. Bjoraker and others that the comet did contain a ball of ice.

Astronomers in the dark
Article Abstract:
Astronomers have discovered that the seemingly empty space between galaxies is actually made up of huge nonluminous clouds. The size of these clouds defy imagination as they are estimated to have a diameter of at least 1 million light years.
