Qubit twist
Article Abstract:
The bizarre laws of quantum physics suggest that items the size of molecules and smaller can exist in two or more places or states at the same time. In theory, because quantum 'bits' or 'qubits' can exist in both an on and off state simultaneously, a quantum computer with just 300 qubits can run more calculations in an instant than there are atoms in the universe.

Polar satellite freeze
Article Abstract:
The launch of the test orbiter National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System is delayed until April 2009 and the launch of the first replacement is scheduled after 3 years. The reason for the delays is that the decision of the launch was made with too little analysis of the technical challenges involved.
