Remediation of Cr(VI) and Pb(II) aqueous solutions using supported, nanoscale zero-valent iron
Article Abstract:
Researchers from The Pennsylvania State University and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory studied the kinetics of the reduction of aqueous Cr(VI) and Pb(II) ions by zero-valent iron particles to insoluble forms.

Structural evolution of Cr(III) polymeric species at the y-Al2O3/water interface
Article Abstract:
In this study, the structure of the Cr(III) species found in y-Al2O3/water interface was characterized as a function of equilibration time and Cr(III) surface loading through the use of an X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy. The study is broken down into an introduction, a discussion of the experiment and its results. Various graphs and tables accompany the table.
