Sensing 'skin' may detect bridge cracks
Article Abstract:
A material that can be applied directly to structures to detect strain, cracks and corrosion is being developed by engineers and nanotechnologists at the University of Michigan. An electric current passes through the material once it has been applied by painting or spraying to detect the resistance caused by wear and tear.

Rochester replaces problematic Troup Howell Bridge
