Snakes and ladders: The sigmatropic shiftamer concept
Article Abstract:
Sigmatropic shiftamers are organic molecules, conceived originally as polymers, in which bonds migrate back and forth along their frameworks. The origins of the sigmatropic shiftamers concept, theoretical predictions of molecular architectures that might support shiftamer behavior, and possible future direction for research on this class of molecules are described.

Evolution of dithiane-based strategies for the construction of architecturally complex natural products
Article Abstract:
Umpolung-based strategies play a significant role in organic synthesis and the most important are the 1,3-dithiane linchpins, which serve as convenient acyl anion equivalents. In this account the evolution of dithionate chemistry is presented in the laboratory.
