Structural engineering: trefoil and double helix inform Mercedes-Benz museum

The rebuilding of the Germany based, Mercedes-Benz museum, by UN Studio, an architectural firm based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in collaboration with the engineering firm, Werner Sobek Ingenieure, is discussed. The building's trefoil design has been inspired by mathematical models, Mobius strip and the Klein bottle.
