Construction cost factors in Nigeria
Article Abstract:
The high cost of construction projects is not the only problem encountered by Nigeria's construction industry. Lack of building materials, substandard construction techniques and poor project management are just some of the other problems besetting the industry. These factors ultimately lead to inferior quality and delays. Expenses for the maintenance of this kind of buildings would eventually exceed the initial construction costs. There is also a preference for projects funded by international development banks than for those funded by other means.

Process of planning during construction
Article Abstract:
The level of participation of a project manager, general superintendent, project engineer, home office and external participants in a construction project is directly proportional to the cost of the project. Partnering also affects their involvement in a construction project since it promotes teamwork and reduces the risk exposure caused by miscommunications and change orders.
