EXAFS and XANES studies of copper in a solidified fly ash
Article Abstract:
Comparing extended X-ray absorption fine structural (EXAFS) and X-ray absorption near edge structural (XANES) spectra, this study attempts to describe the solidification process of fly ash and the speciation of copper within the fly ash. Graphs showing the spectra of copper in fly ash show a stabilization of the copper.

Mineralization of CCI(sub 4) with copper oxide
Article Abstract:
Using X-ray spectroscopies, the mineralization of CCl(sub 4) by copper oxide is studied in detail. XPS, XANES and EXAFS patterns from the reaction are graphed, showing a high percentage of mineralization.
