Technology transfer in Thailand: descriptive validation of a technology transfer model
Article Abstract:
Thailand aims to fast track the development of its agriculture-based economy by acquiring new technologies from industrialized countries. This economic strategy, known as the Five Year Development Plan, has prompted foreign investors to work closely with the Thailand government to address the issues that will ensure successful and profitable technology transfer. These issues, which can be evaluated using a qualitative model, includes the socio-political structure of the Thailand government and the country's educational system.

Developing countries and technology transfer
Article Abstract:
The transfer of technology from industrialized to developing countries is a complicated process that involves a number of institutions and agencies. To maximize the benefits that can be derived from this process, developing countries should select the most appropriate technology that will promote industrialization and economic growth. They should also develop technology transfer management strategies that will allow them to apply the technology to where it is most needed.

Requirements for technology transfer to third world countries
Article Abstract:
Simple production planning and control systems are preferred when working in third world environments. Simplicity calls for the setting of a goal, definition of critical resources and the creation of a production planning and control data collection system that will track the success of the company in achieving its goal. The data collection system is also tasked with the transmission of messages regarding significant areas of control management.
