Sailing on sunlight

Issues are presented concerning the development and trial of a spacecraft which uses the pressure of sunlight as a means of propulsion. The design and construction of the 40-kilogram spacecraft, Cosmos 1, is discussed.

One of the biggest mysteries of Mars is that it has every breed of water related minerals except carbonate. The absence of carbonate might be due to volcanic emissions of sulfur dioxide that cause acidic conditions and prevents carbonate from forming.
