Spruce budworm-infested trees in the forest of New Brunswick, Canada are treated with fenitrothion by aerial spraying. However, studies indicate effects such as disruption of normal behaviour patterns, or even death, of songbirds, wild pollinators, aquatic vertebrates and the American black duck.
