Popper, age 90, is probably the most important philosopher of modern science. He has analyzed topics such as determinism, evolution and quantum mechanics. However, Popper is best known for his assertion that experimental tests can only be used to disprove rather than prove scientific theories.

Linguists unfolded the evolution of a new sign language, the Idioma de Signos Nicaraguense, by observing the communications among deaf Nicaraguan children. This language consisted of its own grammar which is different from the ordinary sign language for the deaf.
