The raison D'etre of constitutively active protein kinases: the lesson of CK2
Article Abstract:
The catalytic activity of CK2, an active protein kinase is structurally analyzed and its functional mechanism is depicted. CK2 plays an important role in the cell by counteracting premature and unscheduled apoptosis, ensuring cell survival under stress conditions.
