Article Abstract:

Higher concentrations of thiols than were previously anticipated have been discovered in the coastal waters of the English Channel and North Sea. Researchers believe its ability to act as a metal-binding ligand in the marine system may prove important. Multiple charts and graphs demonstrate exact locations and concentrations, as well as comparisons to qualities and concentrations of chlorophyll in the same waters.

Lake Michigan heavily contaminated with PBDEs

Article Abstract:

Lake Michigan salmon have the highest levels of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) ever reported for fish in open waters. This compounds are an ubiquitous environmental threat, having been detected in diverse environments such as human blood serum, the deep sea, and breast milk. The University of Wisconsin salmon study and other research in Europe are discussed.
