Article Abstract:
Two groups of message designers are working to encode a message including complex ideas in a clear and simple enough of a manner that unknown civilizations will be able to decipher it. One group is developing a message to warn future civilizations of the danger of the radioactive waste beneath Yucca Mountain. The other group plans to broadcast human ideals into outerspace to be interpreted by extraterrestrials.
